NEW ULM – Lorraine Ingebritson, 92, of New Ulm, died Monday, Dec. 30, 2013 of a massive heart attack at the Mayo Health Systems in Mankato.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 4, at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm with Pastor David Bendix officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in New Ulm.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday and 7:30- 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home, NORTH CHAPEL, in New Ulm and will continue for one hour prior to the time of service at church on Saturday.

Lorraine is survived by her loving husband, Mervin Julius Ingebritson of New Ulm; two sisters, Margaret Oswald of New Ulm and Barbara Erie of Mankato; sister-in-law, Sarah Storby of Des Moines, Iowa; and by many nieces and nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Dr. Ed Gamm and wife, Rumohr; brothers-in-law, Mel Oswald and Dennis Erie; brother-in-law and wife, Herman and Alice Ingebritson; sister-in-law and husband, Alphia and Cliff Storby.
Lorraine Walda Gamm was born on July 20, 1921 in Watertown, Wis. to Reverend Edgar Ralph and Zayda Anna (Breu) Gamm. She was baptized on July 24, 1921 and confirmed on Palm Sunday in 1934 in Mobridge, S.D. by her father. On July 23, 1944, Lorraine was united in marriage to Mervin Julius Ingebritson in Marshall. Lorraine was in the nursing profession for many years in Marshall, Redwood Falls, and Omaha, Neb. She was also a secretary in Milwaukee, Wis. and at the Martin Luther College in New Ulm. Lorraine was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm and was an active member in the Ladies Aid, Circle, LWMS, Owls, the Prison Ministry, and many other volunteer activities. Lorraine will always be remembered for her loving and caring nature. She was an inspiration to her husband and all those who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Martin Luther College, MVL, WELS Prison Ministry, or to the donor’s choice.
