Polesky scores 1,000th career point in loss

New Ulm Cathedral 69, Sleepy Eye 58

SLEEPY EYE – Sleepy Eye’s Brandon Polesky scored his 1,000th career point Thursday night but the Indians still lost the Tomahawk Conference boy’s basketball game to New Ulm Cathedral.

Polesky scored 25 points for the game. Teammate Juan Montemayor added 15 points for Sleepy Eye.

Michael Skillings led the Greyhounds with 18 points while Jacob Gangelhoff and Jack Schwartz each added 14 points.

Sleepy Eye hosts Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop tonight and Cathedral hosts Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s tonight.
