Reuben Trout

GAYLORD – Reuben Trout, 87, of Gaylord, died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, at Oak Terrace Assisted Living in Gaylord.

Funeral Service will be 11a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 14, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Gaylord with burial in the church cemetery. Military honors by the Manthey-Asmus American Legion Post 433. Arrangements are with the Egesdal Funeral Home in Gaylord.

Visitation will be two hours before the service Tuesday at the church.

Reuben Rudolph Trout was born on Aug. 21, 1926, in Grand Forks, N.D. to Alex and Emma (Martin) Trout.

He served in the U.S. Army from Dec. 11, 1944, to Nov. 8, 1946 He received the Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon, the Philippine Liberation Ribbon with one Bronze Star, the Victory Medal, the Good Conduct Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal Japan.

He is survived by his wife, Beatrice Trout of Gaylord; sons, Alan Trout of Gaylord, and Daniel Trout of Gaylord; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
