SPRINGFIELD – Springfield used a balanced scoring attach at it downed Sleepy Eye on Friday night in a Tomahawk Conference boys basketball game.

Carter Erickson led the Tigers with 16 points. Tyler Vogel added 15 points and Cooper Scheffler and Andy Salonek each scored 10 points.

Brandon Polesky scored 20 points for Sleepy Eye and Austin Trebesch added 16 points.

Springfield (5-7, 4-2) will host Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s 7-4, 4-3) on Tuesday night.

Sleepy Eye (4-10, 2-6) will host BOLD on Tuesday night.

SW Christian 79, RRC 40

LAMBERTON – Southwest Christian build upon a 41-11 half time lead to defeat Red Rock Central Friday night in a Red Rock Conference boys basketball game.

Thomas Blomgren led RRC with 10 points.

Red Rock Central (0-8, 0-12) will host Sleep Eye St. Mary’s (7-4) Monday night in a non conference game.

Nicollet 67, Cleveland 50

CLEVELAND – Nicollet downed Cleveland Friday night in a Valley Conference boys basketball game.

Matt Christianson led Nicollet with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Jay Hendrycks scored 11 points, had eight assists and seven rebounds.

Jordan Phillips led Cleveland with 16 points.

Nicollet (6-5, 2-3) will host Alden-Conger on Monday.

BLHS 75, SESM 72 (OT)

HECTOR – Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart outscored Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s 10-7 in overtime Friday night in a Tomahawk Conference boys basketball game.

Kyle Kubesh led the Mustangs by scoring 31 points. Kubesh added 32 rebounds. Tate Lange scored 20 points Josh Swanson had 11 rebounds.

John Brandl scored 21 points. He had 12 rebounds for the Knights. Payton Adams added 15 points and David Surprenant and Jared Rothmeier each scored 11 points apiece.

Blue Earth Area 89,

New Ulm 85

BLUE EARTH- Blue Earth Area edged New Ulm Friday night in a South Central Conference boys basketball game.

Grant Kannegiesser led the Eagles with 35 points while Tanner Ogren, Jackson Yackley and Tyler Dittrich each added 11 points.

New Ulm (2-13, 0-6) will host Mankato West on Monday.

CM/C 83, NUC 42

MORGAN – Cedar Mountain/Comfrey defeated New Ulm Cathedral Friday in a Tomahawk Conference boys basketball match up.

Cathedral’s Jacob Gangelhoff scored with 12 points.

CM/C was led by Riley Kerkhoff scoring 20 points and adding 13 rebounds. Brady Kerkhoff added 19 points and seven rebounds. Chandler Rose scored 16 points and added seven rebounds and Javin Larsen added 12 points, nine assists and five steals.

Cathedral hosts Wabasso Tuesday.

CM/C will travel to Gibbon/Fairfax/Winthrop Tuesday.
