NEW ULM – Phyllis Krueger, 77, of New Ulm, formerly of Sleepy Eye, died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014 at her home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with Monsignor John A. Richter celebrating the Mass. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Sleepy Eye. Visitation will be one hour prior to the time of service at the funeral home on Saturday.

Phyllis was married to Don Krueger who passed away in 2004. They spent the majority of their lives in Sleepy Eye and raised four children there: Gary Krueger of Glenwood, Michael Krueger of Missoula, MT, Barb Deibele of Long Prairie and Mary Jo Schroepfer of Sleepy Eye.
Phyllis’ grandchildren include Patrick Krueger and Becky Miller, Karly Ward and Joseph Krueger, Jesse and Justin Deibele, and Natalie and Nathan Schroepfer. There are six great-grandchildren.
Phyllis was a world-class cook and housekeeper. She cooked at the old Del Roy, worked the meat line at Tony Down’s in St. James, and drove school bus for many years in Sleepy Eye. She was proud to be the first lady bus driver in Brown County.
