NEW?ULM – Marcella Goblirsch, 87, of New Ulm, died Thursday, January, 23. 2014 at the Oak Terrace Nursing Home in Gaylord.

Mass of Christin Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 29, at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with Monsignor John A Richter celebrating the Mass. Burial will follow in the St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Searles.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and 7:30-10 a.m. Wednesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home NORTH CHAPEL in New Ulm. The Christian Mothers Society will pray the rosary at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Cathedral. The St. Joseph’s-St. Elizabeth’s’ Catholic United will pray the rosary at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Marcella is survived by her daughter, Judith (Patrick) Liebl of Arlington; son, Patrick (Joy) Kloeckl of New Ulm; daughter-in-law, Connie Kloeckl of Hanska; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Frank Kloeckl Jr. and Alphonse Goblirsch; and by her sons, Kevin and Randal Kloeckl.

Marcella Emma Dietl was born February 2, 1926 in New Ulm to Conrad and Emma (Flor) Dietl. She was united in marriage to Frank Kloeckl Jr. on January 21, 1947 at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in New Ulm. After marriage they farmed in Linden Township, Brown County. Marcella married Alphonse Goblirsch August 6, 1976 at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm. They farmed in Lafayette Township, Nicollet County until they retired and moved to New Ulm in 1992. Marcella farmed with both her husbands and was also employed at Randall’s Foods, Union Hospital and the Lafayette Good Samaritan Home in Lafayette.

She was a member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, St. Joseph’s St. Elizabeth’s Catholic United and the Christian Mothers Society.
