Minnesota Bankers Association honors Citizens Bank Minnesota
EDEN PRAIRIE – The Minnesota Bankers Association (MBA) recently recognized 17 Minnesota banks for their community involvement. Citizens Bank Minnesota was one of the banks honored.
Citizens employees volunteered more than 970 hours on behalf of their bank for organizations such as American Cancer Society, United Way Day of Caring, Adopt-a-Family, Junior Achievement, National Teach Children to Save Day, local school programs, churches and non-profits.
Citizens spent $317,149.38 locally during the 2013 holiday season. It also performed 30 “Cash Mobs” with its Go Local initiative. Employees also performed 50 Random Acts of Kindness throughout their communities in one day.
MBA CEO/President Joe Witt congratulated the recipients and stated “Minnesota banks are the keystone of their communities. We created the Community Champion Recognition program to build awareness of the good things banks do to strengthen their communities. No industry does a better job of giving back to their communities than the banking industry, and the MBA is extremely proud to recognize these 17 exemplary banks.”
