No climate change program today

NEW ULM – How bad is the weather today?

CASTLE (Community & Seniors Together Learning Environment) has canceled its 3 p.m. program today, a lecture on — climate change.

South Central Minnesota remained under a blizzard warning this morning until noon.

Snow plows were pulled off of state highways last night and no travel was advised. Accidents and blockages were reported in the area, especially on Highway 14 near Courtland, where a semi had jackknifed.

Schools closed today include: BOLD, Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart, Butterfield-Odin, Cedar Mountain, Comfrey, GFW, Lafayette Charter School, Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial, Le Sueur-Henderson, Madelia, Martin Luther Northrop, Mountain Lake, Nicollet, New Ulm Public & Parochial, Redwood Area, River Bend Education District New Ulm, Sleepy Eye Public & Private, Springfield, St. James, St. Peter, Truman, South Central College Faribault & North Mankato Campuses.

The Journal’s bundles have been delivered to carriers in New Ulm and will be delivered to other communities as weather allows.
