Ingrid Liedman to receive Human Rights Award

NEW?ULM – Ingrid Liedman is the recipient of 2013 Human Rights Award, which is sponsored by the city’s Human Rights Commission. Liedman is a retired teacher who taught in District 88.

Liedman is recognized for her work with the Peace Corps in Tanzania and her involvement in hosting foreign exchange students. She is also known for her dedication to expanding her students minds with a world-view that emphasizes human rights.

A reception will be held for Liedman at the Lind House on Thursday, March 27, at 4:30 p.m. with an award ceremony at 5 p.m. The event is open to the public.
