Please help Scouts with food drive
To the editor:
Dear New Ulm,
We need your help! Your beautiful and hard working Cub Scout Dens and Girl Scout Troops went door to door this week and did their best to tie a “Scouting for Food” bag onto every house. We’re hoping everyone in New Ulm will grab a few items for our food shelf and place it on your front door (or anywhere we can easily see it) this Saturday morning. The Boy Scouts from Troop 25 will pick it up and deliver it to the New Ulm Food Shelf. If by chance you did not receive one of our special bags, and you live in town, please use any plastic bag you’d like and just label it “Scouting for Food” – we’ll pick it up! Please also remember the Scouts start early so have your food out by 9 a.m. – that way we won’t miss anyone.
Since March is “National Food Shelf Month”, all of the food that is donated will be weighed and certain companies will match the poundage! How awesome is that? Participate this weekend, and your donation is at least DOUBLED!
Thanks So Much! This is such an important project to teach our youth community service!
