Tim Orth charity basketball game set for March 28

FAIRFAX – Approximately 60 players from the Tomahawk and Red Rock conferences will take part in the annual Tim Orth Foundation All Jamboree basketball game, according to a Wednesday news release.

Both teams will contain seniors only this year with the girl’s teams playing at 6 p.m. with the boy’s teams to follow. This year’s event will take place on March 28 at Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop Middle School in Fairfax.

The games are held in conjunction with the Tim Orth Memorial Foundation with proceeds going toward the medical expenses of individuals selected by the organization.

The event will also have a 3-point shooting contest and will feature “Goldie,” the mascot for the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers, as well as the “Bear” mascot from the NBA’s Utah Jazz.

Cost is $10 for adults, $8 for senior citizens and $8 for children.
