SPRINGFIELD – Leonard Roiger, 90, of Springfield, died on March 18, 2014, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 22, at the St. Raphael’s Catholic Church, Springfield..
Visitation will be on 4-8 p.m., Friday, March 21, at the Sturm Funeral Home, Springfield Chapel and will continue on Saturday from 9:30 am until 10:30 a.m. at the church. There will be a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at the St. Raphael’s Catholic Cemetery in Springfield.
Leonard Frank Roiger was born April 29, 1923 on the family farm in Northstar Township to Joseph N. and Mary (Lang) Roiger.
He is survived by wife Marion of Springfield; 13 children, Nancy Vogel of Springfield, Judy Schroeder of Springfield, Ron Roiger of Appleton, Barb Haschka of Grand Rapids, Rosie Potter of Springfield, Patsy Petersen of Red Wing, Charlene Haschka of Edina, MaryKay Knudson of Rochester, Mark Roiger of Springfield, Tom Roiger of Sleepy Eye, Richard Roiger of Carver, Jon Roiger of Springfield, and Keith Roiger of Mound; 40 grandchildren; and 40 great-grandchildren.
