NEW?ULM – Elaine Fredrich, 90, of New Ulm, died Monday, March 17, 2014 at her home.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, March 22, at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm with Pastor Donald Sutton officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at a later date.
Visitation will be 9:30 11 a.m. on Saturday at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm.

Elaine is survived by her daughter, Christine (Donald) Heise of Tempe, Arizona; son, Joel (Janet) Fredrich of New Ulm; daughter-in-law, Mara Fredrich of Saginaw, Michigan; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sisters, Caroline “Cari” Morgan of Edmonds, Washington, Margaret “Marge” (Maynard “Chuck”) Krause of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin; and a sister-in-law, Audrey Schultz of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edward II; a daughter, Hope Fredrich; a son, Edward Fredrich III; and a brother, Daniel Schultz.
Elaine Doris Schultz was born March 5, 1924 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Harry and Adele (Klatt) Schultz. She was a graduate of Milwaukee Lutheran High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Elaine was united in marriage to Edward Fredrich II on September 1, 1945 at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After marriage they lived in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin; Detroit, Michigan; Saginaw, Michigan; New Ulm, Minnesota; Mequon, Wisconsin; and Watertown, Wisconsin. After her husband’s death Elaine returned to New Ulm. She enjoyed baking, gardening, reading, doing crossword puzzles, playing Scrabble, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was very active with the WELS Prison Ministry Program. Elaine was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.
She was devoted to her Lord and a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
