Building sale on District 88 agenda tonight
NEW ULM – The District 88 Board of Education today will consider an agreement for the sale of the former high school at 15 N. State St. to a group called Cenate LLC.
The board will hear the recommendations of a Facilities Task Force on how best to meet strategic facility needs of the district. The Task Force is expected to recommend a plan that calls for construction of a new high school at an unspecified site. The plan also calls for transforming Washington Elementary School into a campus for early childhood, pre-school, kindergarten and community education programs; Jefferson into a school for early elementary grades, and the current high school into a middle school.
The board is also expected to approve contracts for new administrators and consider some new positions for next year.
The board meets at 7 p.m. at the District Administrative Center.
