Stuk, Dummer earn medalist honors

FAIRFAX – Jacob Stuk of Minnesota Valley Lutheran and Brooke Dummer of New Ulm Cathedral were both medalists at a golf quadrangular at Mayflower Country Club on Friday.

Stuk and Dummer both shot a 47 to earn medalist honors.

In the team race, Cedar Mountain placed first in the boy’s meet with a 211, while Cathedral placed first in the girl’s meet with 210.

Stuk led the boy’s side, closely followed by a 49 from Tristan Pietig of Cedar Mountain. MVL’s Paul Gullixson and Cedar Mountain’s Brady Kerkhoff tied for third with a 52, while Cedar Mountain’s Scott Senkyr and Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop’s Jacob Woods tied for fifth with a 54.

On the girl’s side, Dummer’s 47 was followed by a tie for second between Cathedral’s Ellie Dittrich and Cedar Mountain’s Courtney Nelsen, both of whom shot a 53. Alexis Schouvillier of Cedar Mountain and Megan Laraway of Cathedral rounded out the top-5 each with a 54 that tied for fourth.

The Cedar Mountain girls were not scored because they had only two golfers.

Team-wise, MVL and GFW tied for second each with a 229 while Cathedral finished with a 250 for the boys.

For the girls, GFW shot a 273 and MVL had a 282.
