Career Expo held April 9

NEW? ULM – More than 300 area sophomores participated in the 2014 New Ulm Area Career Expo on Wednesday, April 9.

The expo featured approximately 50 businesses representing a variety of career paths.

Participants included 3M, Minnesota Valley Testing Labs, Beacon Promotions, Oak Hills Living Center, Bic and New Ulm Medical Center.

Schools providing the necessary training for various careers were also on hand to answer questions.

A seminar on personal branding was presented by Punkee Love Headbands creator Stacy Hvinden and NU-Telecom Marketing Specialist Justin Kunkel.

The event was coordinated by the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce with financial contributions from Bridging Brown County, New Ulm Economic Development Corporation, New Ulm Area Personnel Association, 3M, New Ulm Quartzite Quarries, New Ulm Precision Tool and Paul’s Electric.
