Fire destroys house near Klossner
KLOSSNER – A three-alarm fire destroyed a rental house on the Robert and Clair Gieseke farm on Nicollet County Road 5, southwest of Klossner Tuesday.
The Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a house fire from a passerby at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday. Upon arrival it was discovered that a house on the rear of the property was on fire.
No one was home at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is unknown. The home was destroyed in the fire, according to a sheriff’s office press release.
Assisting at the scene were New Ulm, Lafayette and Courtland firefighters, Allina Ambulance of New Ulm, Nicollet and Brown County Sheriff’s departments and the Minnesota State Patrol.
