NICOLLET – Raymond Sandhofner, age 86, of Nicollet died, Thursday, April 17, 2014 at the Benedictine Living Community.
Memorial Service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at the Northview ~ North Mankato Mortuary with Rev. Mark Volkers officiating. A visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Monday, April 21, 2014 at Northview ~ North Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour before the service. Burial will be in Woodland Hills Memorial Park in Mankato. Memorials may be given to an organization of the donor’s choice.
Raymond was born December 27, 1927 to John and Christine (Kowarsh) Sandhofner in Butte, ND. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army from 1950-1952. On June 29, 1954 Raymond was united in marriage to Virginia Fischer in New Ulm. Ray and Virginia owned GinRay Manufacturing from 1976-1985. He was a welder by trade and a semi-truck driver for 53 years until his health forced him to retire.
Raymond is survived by his daughter, Cindy (Dale) Gleason; grandsons, Joey (Debby) and Jamie (Heather); great-grandchildren, Jenna, Justin, Jackson, Jordan, Julia, Jacob, and Jillian; and sisters, Elsie Jacobson and Ruth Kastner.
Raymond was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia in 2004; parents; 7 brothers; and 2 sisters.
