SPRINGFIELD – Leona Helget, 96, of Springfield, died April 26, 2014, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield.
Service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 30, at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Springfield.
Burial will be at the St. Raphael’s Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Tuesday, April 29, at Sturm Funeral Home, Springfield Chapel and will continue on Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. at the church. There will be parish prayer service on Tuesday at 4 p.m. at the funeral home. There will be a CCW rosary on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the church.
Leona Angela Helget was born June 21, 1917 to George Sr. and Helena (Wurtzberger) Rothmeier in Sleepy Eye.
She is survived by her children, Kenneth Helget of Springfield, Lois Schley of Kent, WA, Betty Kieper of Springfield, Joanne Groebner of Sleepy Eye, Marge Martinson of Fairmont, Kevin Helget of Franklin; 25 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
