Three arrested in Redwood Falls on drug charges
REDWOOD FALLS-The Brown/Lyon/Redwood/Renville Drug Task Force arrested a Woodbury man and a Morgan man and woman recently involving more than $7,900 worth of heroin and more than $1,100 in cash.
David A. Fields, 43, of Woodbury was arrested in the Wal-Mart parking lot on Tuesday, April 22 after delivering a 5.7 grams of heroin with a street value of $5,200 to a confidential informant working for the Drug Task Force, according to a news release.
Fields was immediately arrested after the transaction took place and is being held in the Redwood County Jail on felony 2nd Degree controlled substance sale charges. Maximum sentence is up to 40 years in prison and/or a $500,000 fine.
William A. Kibble Jr., 48, and Michele E. Hamid, 46, both of Morgan, were arrested Tuesday, April 29 at the Select Inn, Redwood Falls, as a result of a search warrant executed by the Drug Task Force and Emergency Response Team.
Evidence seized as a result of a warrant included 27 individually-wrapped bundles of heroin with a street value of more than $2,700, plus more than $1,100 cash. Both people were taken to the Redwood County Jail, awaiting formal charges.
Redwood Falls Police, the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office, Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the Minnesota State Patrol assisted in the arrests that followed two weeks of investigations.
