MARSHALL – Marshall edged New Ulm in a nonconference boy’s golf meet on Monday.

Kelton Schmitz of New Ulm was the medalist with a score of 74. Jonah Cooper shot a 77 and Matt Saffert carded a 78. Ethan Kraus shot an 80 for the Eagles.

Matt Bennett, Ben Haukom and Jacob Baker each shot a 76 for the Tigers.

New Ulm’s next meet will be Tuesday at St. Peter.

CM 190 boys, GFW 194

GFW girls 249, CM Inc.

WINTHROP – Cedar Mountain won the boys Tomahawk Conference golf meet against Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop on Monday.

Scott Senkyr of CM was the boy’s medalist with a score of 44. Brady Kerkhoff carded a 47 and Tristian Pietig scored a 49.

Jacob Woods and Brandon Albrecht each carded a 48 for GFW.

Courtney Nelsen of CM was the medalist with a score of 50. Alexis Schouvillier shot a 60.

Janaye Martin of GFW had a 58 and Katelyn Seehafer shot a 60.

GFW will host Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart on Friday. CM will travel to Sanborn to participate in a triangular meet with Wabasso and Minnesota Valley Lutheran on Thursday.

WWG girls 202, RRC 247

WESTBROOK – The Westbrook/Walnut Grove girls golf team defeated Red Rock Central Monday in a Red Rock Conference Golf meet.

Abby Herding of WWG was the medalist and shot a 38 for the WWG school record. Avoree Bakken scored a 47 and Brittany Erickson shot a 58.

For RRC, Maria Johnson and Courtney Teveldal each shot a 58. Hannah Sell shot a 63.

On the boy’s side, Zach Kircher of RRC shot a 44 to earn medalist honors. Carter Engen shot a 48 and close behind was Cole Baumann shooting a 49.

For WWG, Hunter Gilb scored a 49 and Brandon Pacholl scored a 50. Trey Kockelman shot a 51.

RRC hosts Wabasso and Springfield on Tuesday.

New Ulm girls 338,

Marshall 404

MARSHALL – Corinne McKeeth shot a 83 to lead New Ulm past Marshall in nonconference girl’s action. Kendra Clyne shot a 99, Emily Bertrang shot a 113 and Julia Schaefer shot a 109 for the Eagles.

Sleepy Eye girls 242, St. Mary’s 266

SLEEPY EYE – Buffalo lake-Hector-Stewart boys defeated Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s and Sleepy Eye Monday in a Tomahawk Conference golf meet.

The medalist for the boys, Kyle Melies of BLHS shot a 41.

For the girls, Lauren Laffen was medalist, shooting a 49.

Sleepy Eye and St. Mary’s will host New Ulm Cathedral Thursday.

SPRINGFIELD -Springfield and New Ulm Cathedral split a Tomahawk Conference golf meet on Monday.

Andrew Salonek of Springfield was the boy’s medalist with a score of 43. Tanner Weisensel scored a 45.

Michael Hoffman of New Ulm Cathedral shot a 52 and Conner Jakes had a 54.

Callie Wersal of Springfield was the girl’s medalist when she carded a 48. Carissa Evers shot a 53. Amanda Rogotzke had a 57 and Shylyn Lothert had a 57.

Brooke Dummer shot a 50 for the Greyhounds. Megan Laraway carded a 52, Grace Gilles had a 53 and Ellie Dittrich had a 54.
