Planning panel OKs permits
NEW ULM – The Brown County Planning Commission approved two Conditional Use Permit (CUP) Applications Tuesday.
Commissioners approved: Kurt, Robert and Nick Kratz’ application to expand an existing hog finishing operation of 180 animal units (600 head) finishing hogs and 25 animal units (500 head) sheep by adding up to 360 animal units (1,200 head), not to exceed 565 animal units in Section 7, Burnstown Township.
Kurt and Janice Kratz’ application to renew an existing CUP to continue to allow up to 600 animal units, 240 animal units (800 head hogs) in a hog finishing operation and 360 animal units (20,000 head turkeys) in a turkey operation in the A-1 Zoning District, Section 6, Burnstown Township.
Tabled a single-lot split by Jerome Moldan, Section 36, Eden Township, for redesign to square up property lines. Property being platted is an existing home site being split off form tillable land.
A single-lot split by Inez and Waldemar Schmiesing, Section 29, Lake Hanska Township. Property being split is an existing home site being split off from tillable land.
A single-lot split by Richard Aukrust, Section 28, Lake Hanska Township. Property being platted is an existing platted lot that adds 25 feet to the west side of an existing driveway.
A single-lot split by Kay Haas, Section 6, Cottonwood Township. Property being platted is an existing building site being separated from tillable land.
A single-lot split by Ken and Marilyn Sell, Section 6, North Star Township. Property is an existing homestead being split off from tillable land.
The Brown County Board must give final approval to these permits.
