NEW ULM – The New Ulm Cathedral girls won a quadtrangular golf meet on Tuesday. The Springfield boys won the boy’s meet while New Ulm Cathedral finished fourth.

Kale Meendering of Springfield was the boys medalist with a score of 42. Noah Bertram scored a 44 and Andrew Salonek carded a 47.

Jacob Woods of Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop had a 46 while Anthony Schafer shot a 49 and Corey Kruggel shot a 51.

Shawn Zollner of Wabasso had a 48. Chase Haase shot a 57 and Issaac Hertling carded a 60.

Hunter Bode of New Ulm Cathedral carded a 54. Jack Wenner shot a 55. Josh Dummer and Tyler Blackstad each had a 59.

Megan Laraway of New Ulm Cathedral was the girls medalist with a 50. Brooke Dummer shot a 51 and Grace Gillis carded a 55.

Lexy Wenisch of Springfield scored a 51 while Amanda Rogotzke and Jena Rogier each shot a 54.

Katelyn Seehafer of GFW scored a 53. Janaye Martin shot a 57 and Anna Piechel carded a 58.

Jenna Henriksen of Wabasso had a 55. Skylar Maasch scored a 60 Brooke Maasch shot a 61.

New Ulm Cathedral will host Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart next Tuesday. Springfield will participate in a trianuglar meet in Sleepy Eye against Sleepy Eye and Minnesota Valley Lutheran.

MADELIA – Both the Madelia boys and girls golf teams took second at a home golf meet against Lake Crystal-Wellcome-Memorial, Martin County West and Truman/Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Martin Luther on Tuesday.

For the boys, Jordan Henry was the medalist with a 36. Zach and Matt Baumgartner each shot a 44 to help Madelia.

Victoria Pietsch (55), Carina Aguilar (62) and Ellie Davis (65) were the top Madelia girls golfers.

Madelia will golf at Rose Lake on Friday.

MVL competes at

St. Clair meet

MANKATO – The Minnesota Valley Lutheran girls and boy’s golf teams competed at Terrace View Golf Club on Tuesday. The boys shot a 180 and the girls shot a 270.

Jake Grunewald shot a 40 to lead the boys and Katelyn Hardke shot a 59 to lead the girls.
