NEW ULM – Joleen Diane Galles, 60, formerly of Gibbon, died Monday, May 12, 2014 at her home in New Ulm.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 15 at the First United Methodist Church in New Ulm with Pastor JoAnne Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in St. Willibrord’s Catholic Cemetery in Gibbon.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the time of service at the church on Thursday.

Joleen is survived by her daughters, Rachel (Terry) Huffer, Carrie Galles (Atom Ellis); son, Jason Galles; grandchildren, Nash Galles, Thad Johnson, Elizabeth Huffer, Tristan Huffer, Avien Johnson, Gage Johnson, Kien Huffer; sisters, Mary Johnson, Grace Bushard (Tim MacDonell); nieces and nephews, Mara MacDonell, Sean MacDonell, Michelle Stolt, Bridget Phifer, Bradley Bushard, Bruce Bushard.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Richard Bushard.
Joleen Diane Bushard was born on July 14, 1953 in New Ulm to Walter and Caroline (Zollner) Bushard. She graduated from Gibbon High School. Joleen’s struggled greatly with epilepsy throughout her life but remained a good-hearted woman who always tried to help others. She had immense faith and was very active in her church community. Joleen enjoyed fishing, crocheting, drawing cartoons, writing poetry, and spending time with others. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in New Ulm.
