Syttende Mai begins Friday in Hanska
HANSKA – Syttende Mai festivities begin Friday, May 16 with the stage show “Home Is Where the Heart Is” at 7 p.m. in the Hanska Community Center upper level.
Shows continue in the Community Center at 3 and 7 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $13.
The 4th annual UFF DA Just for Fun 5k (3.1 mile) walk/run begins at 9 a.m. in Hanska City Park. Registration begins at 8 a.m. Cost is $20 with all proceeds to benefit the Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute expansion campaign.
Sunday events include a car, truck and tractor show from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., craft and flea market from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., community church service at 10 a.m. in the city park, food stands from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Minnesota National Guard Bouncy House from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., parade at 12:30 p.m. with the Schell’s Hobo Band, Narren and the Gooseman. Music in the park with Adam Munsterman and Attitude follows the parade.
