Increases in lunch prices, other fees on District 88 agenda tonight
NEW ULM The District 88 Board of Education on Thursday will consider increasing lunch prices and updating some activity fees.
The recommended lunch price increase is 10 cents. Lunch prices beginning in 2014-15 school year would cost $2.30 at the elementary level and $2.45 at the high school. Adult lunch would be $3.50. Breakfast will be served free to all students.
In some other changes, activity passes for K-12 students would decrease from $50 to $25. Activity passes for adults (not available now) would cost $75. Family passes would be discontinued. Senior passes will remain unchanged at $50.
Rental fees for percussion instruments would change from $30 to respectively $50 (high school) and $40 (Washington School) and for brass/woodwinds from $60 to respectively $100 (high school) and $80 (Washington School).
Most other fees would remain unchanged.
The board will also vote on staff resignations and approving new hires as replacements (as typical at this time of year) and on policy changes.
The board meets at 7 p.m. at the District Administrative Center.
