NEW ULM – Florian Schnobrich, 93, of New Ulm, died Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at the New Ulm Medical Center in New Ulm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 13 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New Ulm with Monsignor Douglas Grams celebrating the Mass. Burial will follow in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.

Florian is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Mary Schnobrich of Fripp Island, S.C.; grandchildren, Scott (Rebecca) Schnobrich of Stratham, N.H., Marc (Shannon) Schnobrich of Bluffton, S.C., Todd (Amy) Schnobrich of Rincon, GA; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Steven, Ella, Camille, Jackson, and Garrett; sister, Verna Olson of Thornton, CO; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jeanette “Nettie” Schnobrich on June 25, 2005; great-granddaughter, Amelia; sister-in law and brothers-in-law, Melvina and Joseph Feirer, and Ray Olson.
Florian Bernhard Schnobrich was born on March 20, 1921 in Cottonwood Township, Brown County to Alfred and Olivia (Gulden) Schnobrich. He graduated from Lamberton High School. On October 20, 1942 he was united in marriage to Jeanette Zangel at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New Ulm. Florian delivered Skelly bulk products in the New Ulm area for forty-five to fifty years. He loved to golf and spend time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Florian was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New Ulm where he was a faithful usher, and a member of the New Ulm Country Club.
