NEW ULM – Linus Weymann, 81, of New Ulm died peacefully on Saturday, June 21, 2014, surrounded by family at the home of his daughter.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 24, at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with Monsignor John A. Richter celebrating the Mass. Burial will follow in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Tuesday At the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm. The Knights of Columbus will pray the rosary at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Cathedral.
Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm is handling the arrangements.

Linus is survived by his daughters, Deb (Don) Domeier of Sleepy Eye, Lisa (Rich) Hoffmann of New Ulm; daughter-in-law, Becky (Jeff) Weymann-Lux of Sleepy Eye; grandchildren, Jamie Hoffmann, Chris (Krystal) Weymann, Tiffany Hoffmann, Hailey Weymann, Carter Weymann; step-grandchildren, Malinda Domeier, Nicole Domeier, Tim (Darbi) Domeier; step-great grandchildren, Ladyn Domeier-Zuhlsdorf and Ryder Domeier.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marcie; son, Mark Weymann; sister, Doris Gerasch; and by his brother, Luverne Weymann.
Linus Richard Weymann was born March 11, 1933 in New Ulm to Harold and Amelia (Saffert) Schnobrich. He was united in marriage to Marcella Schnobrich on Sept. 11, 1954 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New Ulm. After marriage they resided in New Ulm where they owned and operated Schnobrich’s Meat Market until the mid-80’s. He was then employed at Tony Downs in Madelia and Running’s small engine repair in New Ulm until recently.
Linus was a member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus and was a past member of the New Ulm Police Auxiliary.
