Cleanup kits available at County Emergency Operations Center
NEW ULM – Due to recent heavy rains, Brown County Emergency Management has opened an emergency hotline to provide assistance to all county residents who would like help with debris removal and cleaning up from water and/or sewage that may have come into their homes.
For assistance, contact the County Emergency Operations Center at 507-233-6725. The hotline will only be answered during normal business hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Cleanup kits have been provided by the American Red Cross and are available for pick up from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the basement of the Law Enforcement Center located at 15 S. Washington St. in New Ulm. After 5 p.m. kits are available at the County Sheriff Dispatch Center.
Limited quantities of the kits will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. If supplies are depleted, call or email the EOC and it will try to obtains extra kits.
