SouthPoint offers storm damage relief program
SLEEPY?EYE In light of recent storm and flood damage, SouthPoint Federal Credit Union is offering a Storm Damage Relief Program.
This program offers financial assistance to members who have been negatively impacted by recent storms and flooding.
“We want to do whatever we can to assist our area communities in financial recovery due to recent storms,” said Jay Gostonczik, vice president of Member Services at SouthPoint Federal Credit Union. “Existing members are familiar with our commitment to recovery from events such as the recent storms. If you are not a member and have storm related needs, please give us a call to discuss how you can be served.”
The program is threefold. Qualified members have the option to borrow at a low interest rate, defer payments on existing loans, and withdraw from an existing Certificate of Deposit with no early withdrawal penalties.
Qualified members include current and new members of SouthPoint Federal Credit Union who have been impacted by recent storm damage. In order to qualify, evidence of damage to primary residential real estate and personal property must be demonstrated.
The program will be available through August, 2014.
