NU Diocese announces assignments

NEW ULM – At the recommendation of the diocesan Priest Personnel Board, the Most Rev. John M. LeVoir, bishop of the Catholic Diocese of New Ulm, has made the following assignments.

Effective June 23

Fr. Samuel Wagner appointed parochial vicar of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm and the Church of St. John in Searles, and will assist in the Holy Cross Area Faith Community.

Effective June 30

Fr. Anthony Hesse appointed pastor of the Church of St. Anne in Wabasso, the Church of St. Mary in Seaforth, the Church of Our Lady of Victory in Lucan, and the Church of St. Mathias in Wanda.

Fr. Jeremy Kucera appointed pastor of the Church of St. Francis in Benson, the Church of St. Malachy in Clontarf, the Church of St. Bridget in De Graff, the Church of the Sacred Heart in Murdock, and the Oratory of the Visitation in Danvers.

Fr. Peter Nosbush to retire.

Fr. Brian Oestreich relieved of responsibilities as sacramental minister of the Church of St. James in Dawson.

Fr. William Sprigler appointed parochial administrator of the Church of St. James in Dawson.

Fr. Craig Timmerman appointed pastor of the Church of St. Edward in Minneota and the Church of St. Eloi in Ghent, while remaining pastor of the Church of St. Peter in Canby and the Church of St. Leo in St. Leo, and assistant vocation director.

Fr. Paul van de Crommert appointed pastor of the Church of the Holy Rosary in North Mankato.
