Songs of Hope in New Ulm on July 11
NEW?ULM – Songs of Hope, a concert series that features young artists from all around the world, will perform at 7 p.m., Friday, July 11 at the United Church of Christ, 301 S. Minnesota St. Performers include children from China, Italy, Russia, Greece and Iraq, among others.
According to the group’s website, a select group of no more than 50 children are brought to a summer music camp located in St. Paul. The kids, all aged 10 and above, perform musical selections from various genres like folk, blues and jazz. This upbeat show will also offer a special tribute to the musical legacy of the late Pete Seeger.
Admission is free, thanks to an Arts Access Grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board.
