Searles tops Essig in latter-half comeback
ESSIG TOWNSHIP – Searles defeated Essig 7-4 in a Tomahawk East League amateur baseball game on Sunday.
Kyle M. Fischer got the win for the Grizzlies (7-11). He gave up two earned runs on seven hits in seven innings pitched. Cole Dulas got the save, allowing two earned in two innings of work.
Dan Drexler led the Grizzlies at the plate, going 4-for-5 with an RBI. Fischer also had an RBI, going 3-for-5.
Colton Petron got the loss in place of starter Tim Kehren. Petron gave up seven runs, three earned on seven hits with five strikeouts and five walks in four innings of work. Kehren did not give up a run in five innings pitched.
Erich Prokosch went 2-for-4 with an RBI double, while Dusty Fleck went 2-for-5 with a two-run single.
