Francis C. Strobel

ARLINGTON – Francis C. Strobel, 92 of Arlington, died Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Oak Terrace Health Care Center in Gaylord.

A memorial mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 19, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Arlington. Visitation will be two hours before the service at the church. Burial with military honors will follow at the church cemetery.

Kolden Funeral Home of Arlington is handling the arrangements.

Francis was born on June 22, 1922, in East Union, Carver County, Minnesota, to Charles and Irene (Madden) Strobel.

He served in World War II as an Army Hospital Ward Master.

He is survived by his wife Bernice of Gaylord; children, Thomas Strobel of Chaska, Suzanne Rosckes of Glencoe, Stephen Strobel of Colorado, Ronald Strobel of Henderson, Roseanne Buckley of New Hope, Joanne Kleist of Richfield, Robert Strobel of Plato, Mark Strobel of Arlington, Gerard Strobel of Glencoe, Bridgid Furmanek of Chicago, Ill., Jena McFadden of Lakeville; 24 grandchildren; 18 great- grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; siblings, Elaine Winter of Waite Park, Donald Strobel of Henderson, Jean Leonhardt of Crosby, and Marion Helget of Shakopee.
