Fur Trade Experience at New Ulm Library
NEW ULM – A Fur Trade Experience program for children ages 7 and up will be offered on Saturday, Aug. 2, at 10 a.m. at New Ulm Public Library.
Historian and re-enactor Arn Kind will lead this hands-on, two-hour interactive program about the fur trade of the 17th and 18th centuries in the Upper Midwest.
No registration is required for this summer reading program event.
This program is made possible by a grant provided by the Traverse des Sioux Library Cooperative and was funded in part or in whole with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
Library ends summer reading with ‘Paw-ty’
NEW ULM – A final celebration of the summer reading program will be held on Thursday, July 31, at New Ulm Public Library.
A storytime and visit with Smokey Bear will be held at 10 a.m. Crafts, treats, and door prizes will be featured from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. All “Paws to Read!” summer reading participants and guests are welcome to attend.
