DNR to hold hearings on Wood Lake management plan
COMFREY – The public is invited to attend a public hearing on the proposed management of Wood Lake on Thursday, Aug. 21, 7 p.m., at the Comfrey Community Center in Comfrey.
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources will present its proposed plan to have temporary water level drawdowns. People will have the opportunity to ask questions and provide formal testimony. Copies of the plan will be available at the Comfrey City Hall and at the hearing.

Written testimony is welcome and will be accepted at the Madelia DNR office at the above address until 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 30.
Wood Lake is located on the county line in southwestern Brown and northwestern Watonwan counties. The lake covers 637 acres and has 9 miles of shoreline. The maximum depth is recorded at 4 feet.
