Oak Hills Living Center held a donor appreciation event Monday to celebrate the acquisition of the van. The target fund-raising goal of $35,000 was exceeded with a total $37,642 raised. The event concluded with an unveiling of the van.

The van enables volunteers and staff from Oak Hills to transport residents to off-campus outings. It can also be used to transport a resident who went to the emergency room by ambulance to return to the center in the van.

Donations came from the Oak Hills Memorial Foundation, Oak Hills Auxiliary, New Ulm Medical Center’s Foundation for gifting, Kiwanis Club, Rotary, Sertoma and Lions Club.
