Lowell W. Plagge
NORWOOD YOUNG AMERICA – Lowell W. Plagge, 74, of Norwood Young America. died Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014, at the Marie Steiner Kelting Hospice House in Chaska.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 21, at St. John’s Lutheran Church (101 SE 2nd Ave.) in Norwood Young America. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service at the Johnson Funeral Home (141 E. First St.) in Waconia and continues Thursday one hour prior to the service at the church.
Lowell William Plagge was born March 11, 1940 in New Ulm to Henry and Agnes (Fiene) Plagge.
Lowell served in the United States Army until his honorable discharge in 1964.
He is survived by his wife, June Plagge of Norwood Young America; children, Jennifer Oakland of Rogers, Susanne Schwab of Jackson, WI, Timothy Plagge of Cologne, Julie Walker of Arden Hills; seven grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Bernice Kirchhoff of New Ulm, Rachel Stelljes of New Ulm, Glen Plagge of Apple Valley, Ruth Hoff of Apple Valley, Jerome Plagge of Courtland, Don Plagge of Alta Loma, CA and Gretchen Penne of St. Paul.
