Dahlin to speak at Fort Ridgely
FORT?RIDGELY – Author and historian Curtis Dahlin will speak on various aspects of the U.S. Dakota War of 1862 at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday in the Commissary building at Fort Ridgely Historic Site near Fairfax.
Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for seniors and children ages 6-17, children age 5 and under are admitted without charge. Minnesota Historical Society and Nicollet County Historical Society members are admitted without charge. A State Park pass is required by all vehicles to enter the park.
Dahlin grew up on the Sisseton-Wahpeton Indian Reservation and has spent much of his time researching and writing on the U.S. Dakota War of 1862 since retiring from his career with the Department of Transportation in 2002.
