Parkinson’s Disease Support Group
To the editor:
Parkinson’s Disease is a progressive neuromuscular disease that, among other things slows your body movements, causes tremors, a loss of balance and a variety of other symptoms.
As my life changes and slows down, one bright spot I enjoy is meeting with the Parkinson’s support group. At these meeting we have the opportunity to meet and chat with fellow Parkinson’s patients, caregivers and listen to outside speakers. I find these meetings not only informative but also enjoyable. It is a good place to share your concerns with people that understand. I would highly recommend those of you out there that also have Parkinson’s disease to join us at these meetings.
New Ulm has their meetings the 2nd Monday of the month, 1:30 pm at Oak Hills Living Center in the Hillside Haven Room located near the rear entrance.
